Why? Changing the learning landscape LT is important and getting more so And is often poorly understood by senior man Thus can be poorly managed/sold/executed. Effective student voice in strategy/ planning Let institutional teams achieve something YAFunding initiative??? So what was different? partnership especially NUS.

What did we do? Changing the learning landscape England only Three strands Intensive programme for Leaders Typically PVCs L&T Consultancy to support institutional teams Typically up to six days CPD programme 8 f2f events for techies and teachers

Leadership Programme Changing the learning landscape Six-month programme Intensive modules, some residential Management leadership. Practical strategic change project within each participating institution Led by the institution inc students in project team Expert coaching support by external experts

Consultancy Changing the learning landscape Short-term focused consultancy (<=6 days) Institutions who wished to devise and implement step changes Bidding LT focussed Intended, identified, demonstrable impacts Nearly all in 3 months ( 2 rounds) Get feedback form all angles

CPD Changing the learning landscape Focus on effective practice in a digital age Academic staff with roles in programme and course leadership and those new to teaching LT responsible educational developers etc. Clusters of disciplines, especially core ones OEResources, especially partner’s wares New money form HEA to support.

Impact and Evaluation Changing the learning landscape Aim is to enhance the student experience Participants cited league tables, NSS, internal surveys and retention as LT drivers. Patsy Cullen is the overall evaluator Encouraged dialogue etc. Need longer term evaluation
