Vernacular The native speech or language of a place, class, or profession.

Satire The use of irony, sarcasm, ridicule, or the like, in exposing, denouncing, or deriding vice, folly, etc.

Irony 1.The use of words to convey a meaning that is the opposite of its literal meaning.

Exemplum 1. An example or model.

Allegory symbolic narrative.

Direct Characterization In literature and drama, the method of character development in which the author simply tells what the character is like

Indirect Characterization Character is described through conversations with others, reactions to situations, etc. The author does not just tell what they are like.
