What does the phrase ‘polar climate’ mean?

Regions with a polar climate are characterized by a lack of warm summers.

It is type of weather pattern where the average temperatures rarely exceed 10°C.

There is relatively low precipitation (100-200mm per year).

In the summer,

Most polar regions have 24 hours of sunlight

In the winter,

Most polar regions have 24 hours of night

Where are the places with polar climate?

World Map

World Map

Most of the places with polar climate is located after 60°N and 60°S

Three such countries are

Canada

Russia

Iceland

There are two types of polar climate

Tundra Climate

And

Ice Cap Climate

Difference between Tundra and Ice Cap At least one month with an average temperature above 0°C Trees cannot grow, but other specialized plants can grow. no plants can grow Where every month has an average temperature of below 0°C No plants can grow
