What is a Twitter chat? A Twitter chat (or tweet chat) is an online discussion using twitter, so every post is a tweet. Because it's on Twitter, it’s open to everyone with a Twitter account. To Reply to a Tweet... To post a reply on Twitter: 1.Find the Tweet you want to reply to. 2.Click the reply icon located at the bottom of the Tweet. 3.A Tweet box will pop up with of the account you are replying to added at the beginning of the Tweet. Complete your reply and click Tweet to post it. Twitter Tip: If you are replying type a “.” in front of Here’s why: Without it, your Tweets beginning will NOT show up to ALL of your followers, UNLESS they happen to follow both you and the person you are replying to.

Twitter low-down Favorite: Clicking the star at the bottom of a tweet is often used as a bookmarking tool. Favorites keep Tweets that you find relevant, but have links to content that you’d rather read later. Re-tweet: Retweet to spread the word. when you retweet, you are re-sending someone else’s tweet to all of your followers. They can then retweet it to their followers. More: You can also share, copy, embed, pin, and delete a tweet!

Participate Step 1: Make sure you change your picture from the default egg so you don’t look like too much of a newbie. Step 2: You can search for #tstaie on Twitter and follow the chat there, but there are other web sites that make it easier.

Participate My favorite is TweetChat. Go to and sign in using your twitter name and password, then click Authorize App.

The TwitterChat app offers some nice features. You can shorten a URL as well and add it to the chat. To tweet enter your text in the Tweet into box. Click this button to refresh and incoming tweets will load.

In the TwitterChat-Chat Room Enter your tweet text! Our hashtag will be added automatically! Hit the tweet button. Tweet, read, re-tweet, favorite, etc.

Questions for each chat will be posted at our #tstaie. Feeds are posted on twitter and in the twitter chat room (if you decided to use the TwitterChat app).
