Video Conferencing Uses For Teachers In The Classroom

Benefits Access to classes not offered at their school. Access to off-site teachers with unique expertise Access to resources that would otherwise be unavailable Heightens student motivation Helps students learn communication and management skills

Video conferencing provides students the opportunity to learn by participating in 2-way communication. They receive instruction and information on any topic. They can present information and ask questions of the other participating site.

Videoconferencing provides a channel for communication all over the globe. The benefits of video conferencing include stronger speaking, listening and presenting skills for our students. This interactive communication medium which lets students and teachers have a visual connection with those they are working with has many uses in the classroom.

Following is a list of uses for video conferencing in the classroom: Bring a NASA astronaut to your classroom Visit a museum or a zoo Virtual field trips Connect students to other students in other countries Music students can video conference for live one-on-one guitar lessons
