What Happened? Primary Sources are records made by people who saw or took part in an event. -journal -letter or poem -photo or picture Secondary Source is a record by someone who was not there at the time. -magazine article -newspaper story -book Oral History- either a primary or secondary history. People talking about history.

How and Why Did It Happen? Cause- any action that makes something happen Effect- what happens because of that action Analyze- look closely at

When Did It Happen? It is important to tell about events in the order they happened. This is chronological order. Time lines help understand the order events happen.
