ContactPoint GP Clinical Governance Leads Meeting 11/12 th December 2007 Carol Harrison, ContactPoint Project Manager

What is ContactPoint? The quick way to find out who else is working with the same child or young person, making it easier to deliver more coordinated support and improve outcomes for children. It will be available to authorised staff who need it to do their jobs. It will store very basic information for all children resident in England – no case information. It will be a national system to enable a more complete record for a child who accesses services in more than one local area.

Information Sharing Guidance Common Assessment Framework Lead Professional Tools and processes Benefits of integrated working Benefits Earlier, holistic identification of needs Earlier, more effective intervention Improved information sharing across agencies Better service experience for children and families Setting up multi-agency services Faster, more co-ordinated delivery of service for the Child ContactPoint
