-Feedback- Yourself & FBHS 9 th -11 th Advisory June 3, 2013

Please Obtain Your Folder Look through your advisory folder. Think about all the activities and ‘lessons’ you have done this year. Now think about your classes and all the activities and lessons you have done. Ask yourself: ◦Did you take full advantage of these opportunities? ◦What might you do differently next year?

Take out a piece of paper (full sheet please) You will write yourself a note/letter that you will read in August. Things you might include: ◦Welcome Back ◦Motivational self-talk ◦What you would like to see yourself do differently in the upcoming school year ◦What you want to continue in the new school year

Now for the school…….. Decide as a group whether you would like to provide the school feedback as a group or individually. If as a whole group – please have someone record the suggestions on the board AND someone write them down to be ‘turned in.’ If as individuals – please ensure everyone has another full sheet of blank paper. See next slide for instructions.

Feedback for FBHS You will be providing positive feedback and/or constructive criticism. All feedback is welcome as long as you send it with respect and thought. Things to remember: ◦Tone ◦Be realistic

Make Two Columns On the next slide are bullets to get your thoughts going. You can include anything you wish as long as it is presented in an appropriate way. Please use complete sentences so the reader will understand your entire thought. You will be addressing the school as a whole and Student Council.

Your Two Columns FBHS as a Whole FBHS Student Council What do you appreciate about FBHS? What would you like to see changed? What would you tell a school staff member if you could have lunch with them? What do you appreciate about Student Council? What would you like to see changed? What would you do if you were on Student Council?

Now what? Keep the note you wrote to yourself in your advisory folder. You will have this same folder next year. You created lists for the whole school and ASB. Give that list to your advisory teacher and she/he will turn that into the counseling office. THANKS FOR PARTICIPATING!!
