Presentation transcript:

The human skeleton is the enternal framework of the body. It has 270 bones at birth and this decreases to 206 bones by adulthood after some bones have fused together

 The human skull Is a bony structure that forms the head in the human skeleton. It supports the structure of the face and forms a cavity for the brain. Like the skulls of most vertebrates,it protects the brain from injury

The head of the femur articulates with the acetabulum in the pelvic bone forming the joint, while the distal part of the femur articulates with the tibia and patella forming the knee joint. By most measures the femur is the strongest bone in the body. The femur is also the longest bone in the body.

In human anatomy, the pelvis (plural pelvises) I either the lower part of the trunk, between the abdomen and the thighs (sometimes also called pelvic region of the trunk) or the skeleton embedded In it (sometimes also called bony pelvis or pelvic skeleton

 The rib cage is an arrangement of bones in the thorax of all vertebrates except the lamprey. It is formed by the vertebral, column, ribs and sternum and encloses the heart and lungs.

 The coccyx, or tailbone is the triangular bony structure located at the bottom of the vertebral column between the buttocks. It is composed of three to five bony segments held in place by joints and ligaments

 the smallest bone in your body is in your ear and its 2-3 millimeters !  The most commonly broken bone is your ankle bone  Evel knievel had suffered over 433 bone fractures !  The human hand has 54 bones including the wrist  A human bone is as strong as granite in supporting weight
