November 22, 1963 JFK was in Dallas trying to get support for next year’s election. Mend fences with Texas Democrats

Governor Connally and Senator Yarborough – Different Democrats Yarborough was a liberal democrat Connally and LBJ were pals and conservative Democrats

6th floor

Zapruder Film Abraham Zapruder filmed a silent home movie and captured clear, complete footage from his elevated position. Zapruder 313 - This shows the head shot to John F. Kennedy

Zapruder 335 - Connally is slumped into his wife's lap Zapruder 335 - Connally is slumped into his wife's lap. Kennedy, now mortally wound leans toward Jackie. That blob on the side of his head is his skull and scalp peeling outward and down. Zapruder 375 - Agent Hill struggles to get onboard to help Jackie Kennedy.

Kennedy was rushed to Parkland

International Responses 70% of all TV owners in the U.S. turned in to watch the news that night. The media continued non-stop coverage of the assassination for days. A long list of roads, statues, plazas and squares around the world came to be memorials for John F. Kennedy

Lee Harvey Oswald Former U.S. Marines Defected to the USSR, then repatriated back into the U.S.

Fair Play for Cuba Oswald saw Castro as more of a “pure” Marxist than the corrupt Communist government in the USSR. He planned on defecting to Cuba but was rejected

Sniper’s perch Lee Harvey Oswald worked in the Texas Schoolbook Depository, and had a clear view from the sixth floor.

Oswald fled the scene His supervisor reported him missing, and he became a suspect Officer J. Tippit stops on the street to talk to Oswald. Oswald shoots him 4 times to death

Lee Harvey Oswald walked 8 blocks to Texas Theater

Arrested

LBJ was sworn on Air Force One

Oswald transferred to another jail. Jack Ruby, a Dallas nightclub owner, shoots Oswald on live TV.

Flamboyant Jack Ruby was well known to Big Jim Flamboyant Jack Ruby was well known to Big Jim. He had first visited him at his Carousel Club in Dallas 13 years earlier. “Ruby was an odd character. He had a finger in every pie,” he [Detective James Leavelle] explains. “I remember sitting down and talking generally about the club when all of a sudden he became very animated. He stood up and said, ‘Do you know what I’d love Jim? I’d love it if one day you came in and some wise guys tried to make a move at you. I’d step in and save you’. “I said, ‘Why would you want that Jack?’ He just looked at me and said, ‘Cause I want to be a hero Jim. A hero’

Case Closed? Oswald fired 3 shots (missed the first one) The government investigated the murder for years and concluded that Oswald acted alone. Virtually no witness at that time gave indication that more than 3 shots were fired at Kennedy. However. . . .

Composite Conspiracy Story JFK was killed by a conspiracy of high government officials with LBJ working with the CIA, the mafia and anti- Castro Americans who all want revenge for Kennedy’s lack of support in the failed Bay of Pigs invasion of Cuba. At the same time (in contradiction), Castro killed JFK with Russia’s help. Jack Ruby killed LHO so he wouldn’t talk.
