2 John Fitzgerald Kennedy  Assassinated Nov. 22 nd, 1963 in Dallas, Texas.  Shot while in a convertible limousine as they drove through Dealey Plaza.  Shot multiple times  Fatally shot in the head

3 Conspiracy Theories  Lee Harvey Oswald working alone  Central Intelligence Agency (CIA)  Mafia  Cuban Assassins

4 Cuba  Fidel Castro, the leader of Cuba, had been targeted by our government for assassination several times. This leads to the belief that he planned to retaliate.  Bay of Pigs – Failed invasion of Cuba by CIA trained Cubans.

5 Mafia  Robert Kennedy, JFK’s brother, was the Attorney General of the US. He indicted a number of high ranking members of the Mafia.  Some believe that JFK’s assassination was a warning to Robert Kennedy to back off.  Robert Kennedy was assassinated five years later.

6 Lee Harvey Oswald  Former Marine, who left the US and lived in Russia for two and a half years. He returned and associated himself with anti- communist organizations.  Secures a job in Dallas at the Texas book depository.  Accused of shooting JFK.

7 Lee Harvey Oswald – Continued  Oswald is arrested for killing JD Tippit a Dallas police officer.  Later charged with JFK’s assassination.  Shot and killed two days later by Jack Ruby in a parking structure as he was being moved from one jail to another.

10 Final Determination  The Warren Commission concluded that Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone. He is the official assassin of JFK.  Many people still disagree with the official findings of the Warren Commission.
