I will be presenting about rattle snakes. Rattle Snakes are a group of vertebrates called reptiles. You are going to learn about facts about Rattle Snakes and about their habitat, what they eat, and who are their predators. Introduction

Rattle Snakes have 3 layer of skin to protect their body. They have sharp fangs. Rattle Snakes have long and narrow bodies. The scales on a rattlesnakes’ back have ridges. They could weigh about 15 pounds. They may grow up to 6 feet long. If they have a keel in there scale they make it stronger. Every rattle snakes has it own pattern to tell one type from another is to look at the pattern on their backs. Rattle Snakes are divided into two groups. The Crotalus group are larger snakes with broad heads. The Sistrurus are smaller with narrower heads. They have 9 large scales on their head.

Rattle Snakes mostly live in grassland and they live in United States and Mexico. Some rattle snakes live in water too.

Rattle Snakes predators is people. Rattle Snakes mostly don’t have a predators except peoples are.

Rattle Snakes mostly eat warm-blooded animals. They like mouse, birds, and gophers.

*Rattle Snakes don’t bite at people when people don’t try to kill them. *Rattle Snakes can strike out of half of its body rattle snakes can strike 2 meters *Rattle Snakes can live for 23 or 24 years. *Snakes don’t have teeth that can chew up their food, so they have to swallow it whole.
