Goal is to shrink a photo and then later in the animation have it grow back to its original size. Here is Option 1 – FAKE IT Download Part I for an overview of the technical problems and formula for animating a Grow/Shrink animation.

Layout Slide and Duplicate Image that Grows

Apply a DISAPPEAR exit animation to image #1

Apply a “SHRINK” emphasis to image #2

Apply a “GROW” emphasis to image #2

Apply a “FADE IN” Entrance to image #1

Be sure Image #1 is on top

Use advanced timeline to adjust FADE IN to overlap end of GROW

Line up images – Done!
