1. Where was Babylon located? The city was located on the Euphrates River near what is today Baghdad, Iraq.

2. What does Hammurabi’s Code reveal about Babylonian society? It was based on social hierarchy and showed the importance of class distinctions. It also reveals the significance of business, trade, and family in the Babylonian Empire.

3. What two advantages did Hittite soldiers have over their opponents? They mastered iron working and they used chariots.
