A contraction of the term "Web log“ A website, usually maintained by an individual with regular entries of commentary, descriptions of events, or other material such as graphics or video. Entries are commonly displayed in reverse- chronological order

Extend learning beyond the classroom walls by presenting learning opportunities online Convenience to students and families Easy way to publish information Informal and organized way to present ideas Can link to other content found online Can be a communication and instructional tool
