POLITICAL MAPS SHOW LAND DIVIDED INTO DIFFERENT AREAS THEY SHOW STREET MAPS SHOW A SMALLER AREA, SUCH A TOWN OR A CITY. COUNTRIES CAPITAL CITIES POLITICAL BORDERS WORLD MAPS LINES OF LATITUDE: GO HORIZONTALLY AROUND THE EARTH. WE USE THESE LINES TO MEASURE DISTANCE FROM THE EQUATOR. LINES OF LONGITUDE: GO VERTICALLY AROUND THE EARTH FROM THE NORTH POLE TO THE SOUTH POLE. EQUATOR: IS ONE LINE THAT GOES HORIZONTALLY AROUND THE EARTH. IT DIVIDES THE ERTH INTO NORTH HEMISPHERE AND SOUTH HEMISPHERE

FLOOR PLANS SHOW, FROM ABOVE, THE LOCATION AND SIZE OF THE ROOMS IN A BUILDING. WE OFTEN FIND THEM IN MUSEUMS, SHOPPING CENTRES AND AIRPORTS. LARGE SCALE MAPS SHOW MORE DETAIL. The features on the map look larger. SMALL SCALE MAPS SHOW LESS DETAIL, so the features look smaller.
