GEOGRAPHY TERMS

one of five major bodies of salt water that surround the continents

Gulf A body of water generally smaller than an ocean

A body of water partially enclosed by land, smaller than a gulf Bay of Biscay

narrow stretch of water joining two larger bodies of water

Delta (mouth) An area of land at the end of a river that forms usually triangular in shape. It usually has fertile soil called silt.
