1 What is RINGETTE? (50 MIN) Rationale: Coaches, you need to have a basic understanding of the equipment and rules to keep players safe and playing within the rules of the game. Objectives: To have a basic understanding of what equipment is required and how to make sure it fits and it’s safe. To understand the basic rules of Ringette. To know how to modify the basic rules for young participants.

Community Sport Initiation Pathway Ringette Community Sport Initiation Course: Register online at coachingringette.cacoachingringette.ca Complete Community Sport - Initiation Make Ethical Decisions (MED) online evaluation in the Locker at coach.cacoach.ca TRAINED STATUS Maintenance of Certification: Accumulate 10 points over 5 years. Monitored in the NCCP Locker. Complete online Registration and pre-course tasks at coachingringette.ca coachingringette.ca IN-TRAINING STATUS Ringette Introduction to Coaching Course: Register online at coachingringette.cacoachingringette.ca Make Ethical Decisions (MED): Register through your provincial Sport Body provincial Sport Body Note: Coaches who have completed the Ringette CI prior to 2015 or other sport MED course already have this component.

Competition Introduction Pathway Portfolio: Complete and submit 2 weeks prior to observation evaluation date to evaluator: Basic season plan Emergency Action Plan (EAP) Practice plan* Performance Analysis (error detection and correction) *Practice plan must be within the part of the season when evaluation will take place. **These must be completed successfully before an observation evaluation can be conducted. IN-TRAINING STATUS TRAINED STATUS Ringette Competition – Introduction Course: Register online at coachingringette.cacoachingringette.ca Complete the Make Ethical Decisions (MED) Competition-Introduction online evaluation in the Locker at coach.cacoach.ca Observation Evaluation : Practice Register for Evaluation Process: at coachingringette.ca. coachingringette.ca An evaluator will be assigned. Assigned evaluator will contact the coach to set up the next steps. CERTIFIED STATUS Make Ethical Decisions (MED): Register through your Provincial Sport BodyProvincial Sport Body Note: Coaches who have completed the Ringette CSI prior to 2015 or other sport MED course already have this component. Complete online Registration and pre-course tasks on coachingringette.cacoachingringette.ca Ringette Introduction to Coaching Course: Register online at coachingringette.cacoachingringette.ca Note: Coaches only need to complete this course once. If this course has been completed as part of the CSI coach pathway, it is not required as part of the CI coach pathway. Maintenance of Certification: Accumulate 10 points over 5 years.
