The Awesome Government By: Mikaela and Ashley

The Government Each of the 50 states sends 2 people to the senate. So there are a total of 100 senators. Congress has two parts, the house of Representatives and the senate. Serves a term of 6 Years. No limit on the number of terms a senator can serve.

The Government Be at least 35 years old to be president. Be a U. s. citizen for the past 9 years. Live in the state they represent. 100 members,2 for each state. 435 members apportioned to each state based on population.

The Government The executive branch of government makes sure that the laws of the United states are obeyed. The president leads the army, navy, and marine corps. The supreme court is the highest court in nation. The legislative branch is made up of congress.

The Government The Declaration of Independence is a letter to King George of England that said the 13 colonies wanted to be independent. Vice president takes over if the president becomes too ill to continue in office or dies. Cabinet to official advisors determined by the president. Includes administrative heads of executive departments of the federal government and others appointed by the president.

The Government Resigns for any reason unable to hold his office. The president is the head of the executive branch of Government. This branch is very large so the president gets help from the vice president. The constitution provides for a president pro tempore to preside over the senate in the absence of the vice president.
