James Wyss, MD, PT Dr. James Wyss completed his graduate degree in physical therapy at the University of Scranton. After completion, he returned to New York and practiced physical therapy in a sports and orthopedic setting for three years before pursuing a degree in medicine. He then attended New York Medical College and graduated with honors. He completed his residency in physical medicine & rehabilitation (PM&R) at Kessler Institute of Rehabilitation and a fellowship in Interventional Spine and Sports Medicine at Hospital for Special Surgery. He is board certified in both PM&R and Sports Medicine, and is currently a team physician at St. John's University.

Stacey Franz, MD, PT  Dr. Stacey Franz is an Interventional Physiatrist and serves as the Medical Director at NorthEast Spine and Sports Medicine, a multidisciplinary musculoskeletal practice in NJ.  She is board certified in Physiarty and holds sub-specialty certification in Sports Medicine.  She started her career as a Physical Therapist, receiving her Masters degree in PT from Springfield College in Massachusetts. It was during her training to become a physical therapist that she developed a passion for medicine and thus, returned to school to become a physician.  She completed her medical training at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and a Physiatry Residency at New York – Presbyterian Hospital.  Her appreciation for the musculoskeletal system ultimately lead her to a fellowship in Interventional Spine and Sports Medicine at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. Sports Medicine  Dr. Franz believes in a comprehensive approach to treating musculoskeletal dysfunction and utilizes a team approach to the care of her patients, working with Physical Therapists, Acupuncturists, Orthotists, Chiropractors and Nutritionists.

Julie Fritz, PT, PhD  Julie Fritz is a Professor in the Department of Physical Therapy and Associate Dean for Research in the College of Health at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah.  She received her PhD in Rehabilitation Science at the University of Pittsburgh. She served on the faculty in the Physical Therapy Department at the University of Pittsburgh prior to moving to Utah.  In her time in Salt Lake City she has also worked closely with Intermountain Healthcare evaluating the implementation of evidence-based interventions and patient-reported outcomes into clinical practice.  Dr. Fritz is currently an Editor of the Journal of Orthopedic and Sports Physical Therapy, and an Editorial Board Member of the European Spine Journal as well as a member of the Cochrane Back Review Group.  Her research interests have focused on examining treatments for individuals with low back pain, matching the most effective treatments to various sub-groups of patients, and examining the outcomes of translation of decision-making strategies into physical therapy practice.  Her work has been funded by the National Institutes of Health, the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, Department of Defense and the Physical Therapy Foundation.

Samuel Yoakum, DO  Dr Yoakum was selected for an osteopathic manipulation teaching fellowship while in medical school.  He has created teaching programs in osteopathic manipulation at the medical student, resident and attending level including multiple workshops at the AAPMR Annual Assembly among other national conferences.  He has written a textbook chapter focusing on novel ways to utilize manipulation in the inpatient setting.  He practices in a large orthopedic group, focusing on non-operative treatment of the spine and joints.
