N Which comes first, the chicken or the egg? Our values or our mission? Our mission or our vision? The truth is, values, mission, and vision are so interrelated that it is hard to say. Perhaps the diagram should look like this:
N ◦ A values statement represents the core priorities in the organization’s culture, including what drives members’ priorities and how they act within the organization. ◦ A mission statement explains the organization’s or individual’s main aim or purpose. It defines why we exist. ◦ A vision statement expresses the organization’s or individual’s desired destination within a certain time frame. It defines where we are going. Each element is unique, but they all work together.
N As Scout leaders, we share the BSA’s mission, helping to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.

N Ticket is “final” when Participant and Ticket Counselor say it is …..and then it can still change. The Wood Badge Ticket
N Offer young people responsible fun and adventure. Instill in young people lifetime values and develop in them ethical character as expressed in the Scout Oath and Law. Train young people in citizenship, service, and leadership. Serve America's communities and families with a quality, values- based program. The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.
