Exploring the Solar System Mrs. Mahoney 5 th Grade

Project Goals Each group will research one object in our solar system. Each group will be responsible for a Power Point presentation Each group will also be responsible for a newsletter or a web page. A bibliography of sources used for information is required on all presentations.

Description Each pair of students within a group will be assigned a particular topic about our Solar System to research. Examples include: The Sun, Planets, Asteroids, Meteors, or Comets Sources available include your science book, print books, internet, and Encarta

Project Parts to be Completed Research about your group’s assigned topics Note cards with important facts recorded for future use for your presentations A bibliography listing all sources used 2 technology projects: a Power Point presentation, a web page or newsletter

Seventh Slide: Review Questions This slide will have review questions about your presentation that you will ask your audience. Make sure the answers are in your presentation!
