T h e E g y p t i a n B e a u t y a n d t h e B e a s t
Long, long, ago in a far away pyramid lived the evil Egyptian god, Horus.
Horus used to be a handsome prince but the evil Egyptian god, Isis, changed him into a evil Egyptian god.
Isis gave him an enchanted lotus flower. If someone doesn’t love him before the flower wilts, he will be stuck like an Egyptian god forever.
In the town of Thebes lived a princess named Beautiful. She had to deal with the annoying Egyptian god Osiris. He was trying to force her into marrying him, but she refused.
She lived in an old adobe home. Beautiful was very unhappy with her life. She had long black hair. Everyday she gathered scraps of papyrus paper to read. Osiris made fun of her because she liked to read.
O ne day Beautiful’s baba, her father, went to the market to buy some food. But when he never came back, Beautiful got suspicious. Beautiful decided to go look for him.
After a long trip she decided to rest in a temple. She didn’t know that the temple belonged to Horus. When she walked into the temple she walked around and eventually she found her baba locked up in a cell.
Horus captured her. She said that if he let her baba go, she would take his place. Horus accepted her bargain and let him go. Horus gave Beautiful a very nice room. He gave her strict rules.
Beautiful skipped dinner because she was frightened every time she got near the Beast.
The mummies who worked for Horus, but secretly liked Beautiful, made her a scrumptious meal.
At night, Beautiful snuck up to the rooftop. She knew she wasn’t supposed to be there so she tried to be quiet. When she got up there, she saw pictures of when he was a prince. Then out of nowhere, a lotus flower appeared.Suddenly, Horus walked in and yelled at her. She ran out of the room crying.
Horus took her up to the rooftop. Beautiful found a magic mirror. Horus said say anything you want to see and it will appear. Beautiful said, “Show me papa.” Papa appeared in the mirror. She was surprised to see him struggling in the woods. Beautiful insisted on letting her go help him. Horus let her go.
She dashed out of the temple. When she was in the woods, a float of crocodiles attacked her. Luckily for her, Horus came and saved her but got hurt pretty badly. When they got back to the temple, Beautiful took care of Horus’s wounds.

When Beautiful and her Baba got back to their old adobe home, Beautiful’s papa told Osiris about the beast. But all they did was laugh at her Papa. Beautiful couldn’t stand this at all. Horus let Beautiful keep the magic mirror so she said, “Show me the beast!” The beast showed up in the mirror. Beautiful told them that the beast was very kind. Osiris said, “Let’s kill the beast !” Everyone agreed !
While Beautiful and her Papa had a tiny lead, they got to the Temple first. Beautiful warned the Beast but he didn’t care.
Osiris found the Beast but Beautiful saved him.
At the end, when Osiris and his crew left something magical happened. The Beast wasn’t the Beast anymore. Horus wasn’t Horus anymore. He was a prince again. Beautiful did it. She loved the Beast right before the flower wilted.
Beautiful and Biti (the prince) lived happily ever after.
