Hades Rebecca Marshall Period 1 Latin 1

Hades Greek Name: Hades Roman Name: Ades Parents: Kronos and Rhea Sphere of Influence: Underworld Attributes: death, greed, wealth, rich minerals, jewels Symbols: Cerberus, Cap of Invisibility, or Helm of Darkness, Cypress, Narcissus and Key of Hades Birthplace: the island of Crete Favorite Place: Crete

Images of Hades I chose this image of Hades because it shows him with his dogs. The characteristics I like in this particular picture is that he is sculpted with his dogs. This image spoke to me because he only has one arm. I think this represents that he is the king of the underworld and that he is dead. I also like this image because it shows that his dogs were not the size of dragons like some movies have said. This image was from 260 AD

Modern Art of Hades This image is from the 19 th century I chose this image because it shows Hades sitting on his throne to the Underworld. It portrays the characteristics of the side of his face and his body sitting down. I also chose this image because it shows how powerful he is because he has his staff with him, which is a main symbol of him.
