7 Provenance noun place or source of origin: The provenance of the ancient manuscript has never been determined.

8 Zeus Jupiter or Jove was the king of the gods in Roman mythology. Zeus was his Greek name. His tree was the oak and his bird was the eagle. He was very powerful. Zeus escaped his father when he was a baby. He overtook his father, Coronus.

9 Hades Hades was Zeus’s brother. He was swallowed by his dad, Coronus. Hades was the god of the underworld and the dead. He was Pluto in Roman myths.

10 Poseidon Poseidon was the moody god of the sea. He was Neptune in Roman myths. He also ruled horses, earthquakes and drought. His castle was deep under the sea. Poseidon was the brother of Zeus and Hades. He drew lots and gained power over the sea.

11 Hestia Hestia was goddess of the Hearth. She was gentle and watched over the sacred fire in Olympus. She has sworn by the head of Zeus to be a virgin. She was master over domestic life.

12 Hera Hera was the daughter of Coronus and Rhea, sister of Zeus, Poseidon, and Hades, wife of Zeus, and mother of some other gods. She was the goddess of marriage and birth. Hera was queen of the Olympian deities.
