NIGHT ASSESSMENT NOTES

Task 1  How was Madame Schachter a prophet?  What do you think about how she was handled? Was it understandable? Should the men be judged for their treatment of her?  What are some things that are terribly sad about it?

Theme/Motif Connection and Tracking  Take 4 pieces of paper. Put one of the themes in the center or top of each piece of paper. Then record either examples of that theme (or motif), quotes that show the theme or motif, etc on that sheet. We will use these organizers for the assessment over night. DO NOT LOSE THEM.

Theme Connection  The role of bystanders in helping or fighting evil in the world.  The importance of father/son relationships.  His changing faith over the course of his time in the concentration camps.  Inhuman acts are possible towards humans.
