The Left and Right Sides of the Brain Your Name Goes Here

During the 1960’s Dr. Roger Sperry studied patients where the connecting tissue between the left and right brain had been removed in an attempt to alleviate the seizures suffered by these patients. He discovered that the different halves of the brain specialized in different modes of thinking. The left brain is the logical part and controls speech, language, and mathematical reasoning. The right brain is the creative part and thinks in images, colors, and remembers music and complex pictures. Dr. Sperry won a Nobel prize for his research.
