Clinical Adoption Workshop Plan The Goal Present an interactive forum to acquaint the clinic users with how the Impact Ambulatory EHR will impact processes in their individual clinics.

Clinical Adoption Workshop Plan The Scope All clinics will be included beginning with Wave 1 A Day in the Life scenario will be presented The scenario will focus on clinic operations This forum is not intended to replace training or testing

Clinical Adoption Workshop Plan The Objectives Engage the clinics and build ownership in the Ambulatory EHR Educate the mid-level users on a day in the life of their clinic with Impact Ambulatory EHR Help clinics envision the transition from their current workflows to future workflows Work with clinics to identify process issues Help clinics identify resource requirements for system use Highlight points in the workflows that ARRA effects Develop a strategy for next steps for clinic participants to address issues identified in the workshop with the appropriate personnel in their clinics Provide a mechanism for dissemination of information back to all clinic staff

Clinical Adoption Workshop Plan The Approach Small groups –3 clinics per session Like clinics grouped Present a typical clinic workflow using the Impact Ambulatory EHR Worksheets will be provided for staff to document issues Guidance will be provided as to how to address issues Clinics will walk away with a “to do” list Clinical Informatics or other appropriate resources will be available for problem-solving meetings to address issues Follow up meeting two weeks after the workshop

Clinical Adoption Workshop Plan The Resources Clinic Team consists of: –Nursing Supervisor –Front desk –Back desk –Academic Secretary –Clinic Director –MSO Department and Clinic Liaisons Clinical Adoption Team consists of: –Clinical Informatics –System Experts –Process experts
