 Adopt 21 st century teaching approaches to develop student’s interest in Science learning, promote critical thinking and to enhance their skills.

 Remembering : To enable the students to identify energy as matter mover and required to do work.  Understanding: To enable them to make a list of most commonly use inventions, discuss about them, and, enable to classified the forms of energy.  Applying: To enable them to prepare assignment, answer the questions, solve work sheet and quiz.  Analyzing: Student will be enable to distinguish potential and kinetic energy by watching video clip.  Evaluating: Student’s remembering and understanding will be assess through activities, by giving them worksheet and quiz.  Creating: To enable them to make assignment and project on any type of energy.

 Students will be motivated through activity and questioning.  Reasons will be asked by students, doing experiments.  Students will be divided into groups to experience and distinguish forms of energy.  Video clip of forms of energy will be shown.  Quiz of energy will be given to the students to assess their knowledge.  Recap of all energies will be shown by video clips.  Practical will be assigned to the different groups to answer the question.  Assignment on electricity will be given.

Challenges  Sound Activity will create noise, principal may not agree with it.  There maybe some students who do not work together.  Some students maybe confused to understand different energies.  Some students do not want to participate in class activities. Solutions  I will highlight its importance and do this activity in the play ground.  I will randomly group students to encourage collaboration with there classmates.  I will show them video clip of all the energies.  I will tell them that active participant will get certificate

 We need energy to work.  Energy is required to move the matter.  Rub the board  Pick up the pile of the copies  Rearrange the chairs  Open the lid of the bottle

 Energy is an ability to work.  Energy is required to make matter move.  Energy is required to change matter.  we get energy from food.

Potential Light Kinetic Sound Heat Wind Electrical Solar

 Heat is a form of energy.  Sun is the main source of heat energy.  Heat flows, from a region of higher temperature to a region of lower temperature.

 Conduction  Convection  Radiation  Convection current occurs when ever liquid or gas is heated.

Electrical energy is the movement of charged particles, negative (-) and positive (+) it can come from batteries or power plants  Current  Conduction  insulators

Q: How does electricity travels  Circuit  Current  Switch Q: What are the conductors and Insulators  Wood  Plastic

 Sun is the main source of light energy.  Light travels in straight lines.  Light bounce off when it hits anything  Plants use light energy to make food.

Q. What are the things that run with solar energy?  Solar cells  Solar panel  Solar furnace

 Sound is produced when something vibrates.  Natural and artificial sound.  Sound can travel through solid, liquid and gas.

SEEING VIBRATION  We cannot see sound waves in the air, but we can see their effects.

 There are limited amount of coal and petrol.  We should therefore not waste energy  The sun wind and water gives us energy that will not end soon.

 Energy can be stored for later use.  Food  Fuels  Coal  LPG (Liquid Petroleum Gas)

 What energy does the balloon have when we let it go?  What energy does a Blinder have.  Worksheet will be given.

 What is energy?  Which energy keeps us warm in cold weather?  What is another name of energy of motion?  What do understand by fuels?

 Make an assignment on electrical energy how can we solve electricity problem in our country?
