BEFORE YOU CRASH IT AN INTERACTIVE R/C MODEL BUILDING EXPERIENCE CAROL NOON JACOB ROGERS SINDHU RUDRA SRAVYA SARRAJU NIKHIL VEMURI

CONCEPT & GAME FOCUS An entertaining and light-hearted, interactive manual for R/C model build processes. Learn how each piece of your model works before damaging or crashing YOUR real-world model.

IDEAS DISCUSSED FOR APPROACH: Game Mechanics: We want to approach the game much like an interactive manual, but still including elements of "fun" and entertainment. The game will have a calm, untimed environment. Because game will have a “therapeutic” feel to it, we want to use a calming color scheme and environment graphics Game images will be similar to that of a build table with simple buttons for making decisions End Result: Players will understand the importance of each step in construction of their models Game Play: Players can see the differences in build for different types of models There will be different stages of difficulty for each model included

IDEAS DISCUSSED FOR APPROACH: Game Development/Processes: Actual instructions manuals have been collected for the models we’d like to include in our prototype Tasks and roles will be assigned based on skill and interest for each team member Storyboard is in development to show progression of game “story-line” End goal is to present game as if pitching to an R/C model company to pick up the game for production and development for each of their real-world models

SIMILAR GAMES: Real Flight: Flight simulator for R/C flight training Serious game designed for training hobbyists how to fly their real-world models Realistic flight characteristics and physics for various aircraft models Monzo: Players construct & customize models using parts from a “box” Modeling Kit simulator – with hundreds of models to choose from Does not offer a test driving simulation once model is complete
