Report on Proposals and Policies (RPP) Climate Change Act – legal commitment to 42% and 80% emission reduction across economy RPP : broad framework for delivery across all sectors Now need Retrofit Delivery Strategy for housing RPP commits to 36% housing emission reduction by 2020 This means : All homes that can take it have loft and cavity wall insulation All homes with gas to have energy efficient boilers 100,000 homes have renewable heat technology 50% of solid walls insulated (internal/external) 100,000 homes have floor insulation Plus smart meters and building standards
