Here are some examples of simple geometric shapes; cubism. What is cubism? Cubism is an early 20th-century style and movement in art, in which a perspective which is made of simple geometric shapes, interlocking planes, and, later, collage.

PICASSO: Pablo Picasso was a Spanish artist who was born is 1881 and died in the year 1973 at the age of 91. He is an artist best known for Painting, drawing, sculpture printmaking, ceramics, stage design and writing. Here is some of Picasso’s art work:

KANDINSKY: Kandinsky is a Russian artist, he was born in the year 1866 and dies in the year 1944 at the age of 77. He is credited with painting one of the first purely abstract works. He then became a French citizen in 1939 and producing some of his most prominent art. Kandinsky's creation of abstract work followed a long period of development and maturation of intense thought based on his artistic experiences. He called this devotion to inner beauty, fervor of spirit, and spiritual desire inner necessity; it was a central aspect of his art.
