1NetFusion Family

●A close family of electronic products providing Ethernet connectivity to a new modern range of powerful FPGA/ASIC processing boards (SOM) – System-On- Module. ●It encompasses many different interface media and quantities of interface by utilitizing a range of connectors on varying product ranges. ●It is provided by Nine Ways Research & Development Ltd in Europe on support, design, manufacturing and rights. ●Fully compatible with MorethanIP IP cores to bridge hardware interface capability and the SOM core processors. 2NetFusion Family

●There are many Ethernet baseboards in the market. Some are generic and cross-vendor and a lot are specifically designed to develop for a specific device family. NetFusion can hosts a variation of different vendor SOM units housed on the PCB. ●The emphasis with NetFusion is on the providers of the hardware IP cores up to the AXI/AHB memory bus interface. From there, our expertise in embedded Linux OS and software device drivers rounds off the complete delivery from application code, drivers, IP cores, FPGA/ASIC, PHY and media interface. ●Nine Ways R&D Ltd in partnership with MorethanIP GmbH provide the Ethernet Switch/MAC/PHY/PCS/GearBox cores with Linux device drivers as needed. This allows our customers the all-in-one support solution tailored to high-speed Ethernet Communications. ●The PCB allows our vast experience of different media interfaces to be supplied as a one-stop-shop from physical connector to application layer software running (if necessary) under UNIX. NetFusion Family3

●Capable of supporting Altera and MicroSemi standard SOM sub-systems. ●Can be supplied as a small basic product or larger more comprehensive version. ●The extensive version can be de-populated and customized to allow for specific customer media interface requirement. ●Can be used as a prototyping development base or using the vast connector variation, be deployed in the field – forming the same product familiar to that used in early and late stage development. NetFusion Family4

●10/100/1000 RJ45 Copper Ethernet with PHYs and Magnetics. ●1.25/2.5/3.125Gbit/s SFP Fibre (1G Copper SFP devices can be used) ●GPIO/UART/SPI with EMI/ESP as standard ●Ruggedized Ethernet (if requested) NetFusion Family5

●A simple One or Two port RJ45 device with UNIX based OS running Web server/Streaming and/or Audio algorithms. ●Three port RJ45 managed Ethernet Switch with Linux networking services handling bridging and protocol information ●Two Port RJ45 and Two Port SFP SERDES as a Managed Switch with Web server and a host of application layer software. ● One Port RJ45 and One SFP Fibre acting as a Media Converter but with Processor firewalling and Encryption for embedded security control. NetFusion Family6

7 Four port PCB allowing routing from Four Dual RJ45 / SFP footprints to the SOM. (Budget/Minimized PCB project just has Two RJ45 footprints and routes to the SOM).

● Unlike many other development PCBs, NetFusion offers a post-development pathway to market as is – with no design changes required for production (only if need a different production code for de-population or varying parts list. ●Designed to -40 to +85 degrees Celsius Industrial temperature specification ●Conforms to EN European Electromagnetic Certification: Emissions + Immunity, Electrical Safety, Surge and Transients. US FCC conformity can be available. ● Physical orientation allows for boxed or Rack Mount layout. NetFusion Family8

●Use a blank SOM module to design your own entire IP and incorporate the on-board ASIC “hard” dedicated Processor (usually ARM). ●Use a start-off template with MAC + DMA in a SOM module and incorporate MorethanIP/Nine Ways IP Ethernet cores and drivers. Customer then glues together their custom design and application software. ● Customer asks for Nine Ways design support to help or fully create IP design (with or without MorethanIP IP cores), write device drivers, help with overall hardware design and if necessary, write application software as an add on service. NetFusion Family9

10 Let us provide you with everything you need. Hardware PCB. Modern sophisticated Ethernet IP cores. Device Driver & Support Application Coding support. Complete Bespoke Turn-Key solution.
