The HPE 1405 Small Office Switch Series consists of plug-and-play unmanaged 5-, 8-, and 16-port Layer 2 switches designed for small offices, in both Gigabit Ethernet and Fast Ethernet configurations. The 1405 Small Office switches are preconfigured for fast, easy installation, with connections using low-cost Ethernet copper cabling. They support administration - friendly features such as auto-negotiation and automatic cable type detection (MDI/MDIX), and are FCC Class B certified and approved for both business and home office locations.The 5- and 8-port models have energy-saving features such as Energy Efficient Ethernet (EEE) and idle-port power down. All models are fanless for quiet and “green” operation, and are designed for high reliability, long life, low power consumption, and low total cost of ownership.

The HPE 1420 Switch Series consists of unmanaged Gigabit Ethernet switches, for small business and others looking for plug-and-play basic Layer 2 connectivity for their network, including low-cost PoE+ and 10-Gigabit uplink models. The 1420 Switch Series includes four Gigabit switches. All have 10/100/1000 ports for affordable Gigabit connections using copper Cat 5e cabling. There is a 16-port RJ45-only model. There is a 24-port model with two SFP Gigabit ports, ideal where long distances require fiber-based connections. Another 24-port model supports IEEE 802.3at PoE+ on 12 of its ports, able to forward up to 30 W power on these ports to power access points, IP phones, IP cameras, and other PoE-enabled devices. For cost-effective high-speed fiber-based server connections, there is a 24-port 10/100/1000 switch with two SFP+ 10-Gigabit ports

The HPE 1820 Switch Series devices are basic, smart-managed, fixed-configuration Gigabit Ethernet Layer 2 switches designed for small businesses looking for key features in an easy-to-administer solution. The series consists of six switches including 8-, 24- and 48-port Gigabit Ethernet switches and 8-, 24-, and 48-port Gigabit PoE+ models each providing non-blocking Gigabit per port performance. Some models include SFP ports for fiber connectivity and some are fanless, making them ideal for office deployments. All 1820 Switches support flexible installation options, including mounting on wall, under table, or on desktop. The 8-port Gigabit Ethernet model can be powered by an upstream Power over Ethernet (PoE) switch for environments where no line power is available. These Gigabit switches are plug-and-play out of the box, yet network operation can be fine-tuned through features available from a simple Web browser-based GUI, if necessary.
