The basic principle in application of bone plate and screw

Screws

Screws INDICATIONS INDICATIONS –Screws can be used by themselves for fractures of the femoral neck and for intercondylar fractures of the distal humerus and femur.

Lag Screw Effect

 In addition to securing plates to bone, screws are used to provide static interfragmentary compression by means of the lag screw principle.
