G OD D ESIRES S ALVATION F OR A LL M EN Why did He Die? – Romans 3:26 “To demonstrate at the present time His righteousness, that He might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.”

S ALVATION N OT B Y G RACE “ONLY” Grace teaches obedient faith – Titus 2:11,12 “For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age.”

S ALVATION N OT B Y G RACE “ONLY” God’s grace provides the means – John 12:27 “ Now My soul is troubled, and what shall I say? 'Father, save Me from this hour'? But for this purpose I came to this hour.”

G OD “J USTIFIES ” B ELIEVERS Grace through faith – Romans 3:24-26 We cannot earn our salvation. – Romans 10:1-4 We must have obedient faith and walk with Him. – Hebrews 5:8,9

S ALVATION I S N OT BY “F AITH O NLY ” Saving faith is obedient. – James 2:14-26 Faith alone cannot save. – John 12:42,43 Those who have obedient faith become servants of righteousness. – Romans 6:16-18

G RACE AND F AITH I LLUSTRATED Israel did not escape Egypt by its own strength. It was by God’s Grace. By faith, they obeyed and performed a “ work of God. ” – Exodus 12:3-14 – Hebrews 11:28 – Exodus 12:20-30

W HEN D O W E A PPLY THE A TONING B LOOD OF C HRIST ? If saved, must be through His blood. – Matthew 26:28; Revelation 1:5 Baptism is said to accomplish. – Acts 2:38; 22:16 Why ? – It’s how we reach the death of Christ. Romans 6:3-5 1 Peter 3:21

The Evidence  Mark 16:16 – to be saved  Acts 2:38 – for the remission of sins  1 Peter 3:21 – saves us  Galatians 3:26-27 – baptized into Christ  Cases of conversion  Salvation is in Christ

If, when baptized, you: Put on Christ – Galatians 3:27 Wash away sins – Acts 22:16 Have sins remitted – Acts 2:38 Are free from sins – Romans 6:17,18 Benefit from His death – Romans 6:3,4 Enter Christ’s body – 1 Corinthians 12:13 Then—What Is Your Condition WITHOUT Baptism?

H EAR T HE W ORD Hearing produces faith – Romans 10:17 “ So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”

B ELIEVE T HE W ORD Faith is a must – John 8:24 “ Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for if you do not believe that I am He, you will die in your sins.”

R EPENTANCE Man must repent Change of heart— results in change of life – Acts 17:30 “ Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent.”

C ONFESSION Confession Jesus is now my Master – Romans 10:10 “ For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”

B APTISM Submitting to water baptism – 1 Peter 3:21 “There is also an antitype which now saves us--baptism (not the removal of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God), through the resurrection of Jesus Christ.”

S UMMARY These are the simple terms God requires for one to be saved. Every conversion in the book of Acts shows this pattern followed Any more —is too much Any less —is not enough God has answered our question… Question is—have you?
