AHOY MATEYS! Welcome Aboard…..

The Curious Adventures of The 2003 ESSRE Interns (aka the pirates of the back woods)

The Interns came from far and wide. They had answered a call from the the famous Captain Brock himself, who promised his able bodied crew a share in the booty. BOOTY!!!

So they gathered their weapons,

And they set to work straight away.

AARRGH!

They toiled for days in their quest for hidden treasure (and data to complete the biota surveys)

They plundered bugs and worms in the arthropod tests…. Throw down yer weapons ye worm and surrender!

Then they looted the plants in the transect analyses. Parley!! !

And they ransacked the soil, seeking heaps of jewels, algae, bacteria and mold. Shiver me timbers!

The morale of the boisterous crew soared because of their successes. They were racking in a bounty of loot beyond their wildest dreams Yo ho ho and a bottle of de- ionized water…

Sort of……

Work was tough for the pirates,

And their was talk of mutiny….

But Captain Brock told them to push on. Push on mateys!

And so they did….

This time in the lab, testing their precious plunder for chemicals.

And high spirits were once again restored!! AAR! Aye Matey.

Next the pirates embarked on treasure hunts of there own They returned to the back woods in search of adventure and of course…….

BOOTY!!!!
