Mapping Standards to Objectives Try it out…Work with your group to… –Read each objective. –Review Common Core Standards K-5 to locate at least one standard that each objective meets. –Write the objective number and a few notes to help recall the standard –DON’T look on the back!

Apply these standards-based objectives to your own lessons Meet with your group and review/discuss the lesson ideas and teaching tips. Reread your text selection (narrative or expository) to highlight key elements and draft ideas to fill in organizer to use as a teaching guide. Plan how you will guide students through your text in a 30 minute lesson with modeling and support.
