Presentation transcript:

It’s not enough to just proclaim the gospel, we have to make disciples in every ethnic group in Mexico. . The name of Jesus Christ has been proclaimed in all of Mexico, but in an inadequate way. For various reasons the situation among the ethnic groups of Mexico is very complex. There is a danger of a new syncretism if we take them the church of the city. It is truly a work of cross-cultural missions. ©Depositphotos.com/zzve

1) Without Any Knowledge of the Gospel: There is no known person with an understanding of the gospel.   2) Sporadic Knowledge of the Gospel: There has been some Christian testimony, but it has not been permanent. 3) Some Believers: There are some known believers in the ethnic group, but they do not meet together.

4) The Beginnings of a Church: There is a small group of believers that meets weekly. 5) A Church in Numerical Growth The church has grown in number in the last year.

7) A Self-reproducing Church: 6) A Church in Spiritual Growth: The church members are growing spiritually. Even though the ethnic group may be considered reached, they still need outside help for leadership and ministry development, and for church multiplication. 7) A Self-reproducing Church: This is a church that fulfills levels 5 and 6 above, but is also self-reproducing, self-sustaining, self-governing, and has the New Testament translated into their language. This is considered a reached ethnic group and they should be challenged to reach out to other groups.

The Present Situation Reached Ethnic Groups 93 With a viable church 29 groups at level 7 64 groups at level 6 Undiscipled Ethnic Groups 179 Ethnic groups that are in the process of being reached, but still need help from the outside 81 ethnic groups at level 5 98 ethnic groups at level 4 Unreached Ethnic Groups 23 Levels 1 through 3 Total of Mexican Ethnic Groups 295

The Difference between Judea and Samaria Te …Kai…kai…kai means: as in… as in.

Acts 1:8 in Portugues “Mas recebereis poder, ao descer sobre vós o Espírito Santo, e ser-me-eis testemunhas, tanto em Jerusalén como em toda a Judéia e Samaria, e até os confins da terra.” (and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, as in all of Judea, as in Samaria, as to the ends of the earth.)

To the ends of the earth, my friends! Paul understood this very well ! Spain was the ends of the earth for them at that time.

An Interpretation of Acts 1:8 Chapters in Acts Characteristics What it means for us today in Mexico Jerusalem 1-7 Implies evangelism in the place where you live. The evangelism ministry of the local church All Judea 8-12 Implies a short trip to evangelize in your same language and culture. Planting new churches in Mexico or Latin America, working in Spanish Samaria evangelize in a different language and culture. Planting churches in the unreached ethnic groups of Mexico To the ends of the earth 13-28 Implies a long trip to Planting churches in the unreached ethnic groups of the 10/40 Window

The goal is to hit the bull’s eye!

Pray for Mexico “A Church for every People and the Gospel for every Person by the year 2000” The Percentage of Evangelicals by State From 0% to 1.99% From 2.0% to 3.99% From 4.0% to 5.99% From 6.0% to 9.99% More than 10.0%
