Presentation transcript:

The links between ownership, size and scale  Think about this – we are going to discuss as a group to complete P2.  The type of goods or service offered  The cost of expansion  The ambitions of the owner  The skills in the business and knowledge of the market  The size of the potential market/level of competition

Your Businesses  Lahore Café Bar  And Oxfam  Or Challenge College  You must only Compare and Contrast 2 of your businesses – one must be Lahore!

Today’s task (M1) For each of your businesses you need to:  Compare 2 businesses in terms of their ownership and business purposes.  Your observations will form the next part of the article.  This provides evidence for M1  You should do this on PowerPoint and analyse the differences and similarities in their type of ownership and business purposes.

Think about  How is a Sole-Trader different than a plc or a Charity –  Who owns it?  Where does the profit go if any?  Are there differences in the organisational set-up of the business?  How is their purpose different – does it provide goods, a service or both? 
