COPYRIGHT © 2008 – APEX SOFTWARE LTD. ALL RIGHTS RESERVED Human Resources COPYRIGHT © 2008 – APEX SOFTWARE LTD. ALL RIGHTS RESERVED Integrator Each Module within Integrator comprises two types of Screen Format – the first is the Browser Screen : In this example, the Browser represents the Module for Employees… …other Browsers may be associated with Accidents, Training Courses, Job Positions… Data is presented in a Tabular Form, with Rows representing Records, for example Employees… …and Columns representing the Data Fields being displayed. (Title, First Name, etc.) Keyboard ‘Down Arrow’ = Go forward Keyboard ‘Up Arrow’ = Go back Keyboard ‘ESC’ = Exit this Demo. An Overview of How Integrator Operates Although extremely powerful in its presentation of Data, no input is required – the Data is drawn seamlessly from the Detail Screen’s Data.

COPYRIGHT © 2008 – APEX SOFTWARE LTD. ALL RIGHTS RESERVED Human Resources COPYRIGHT © 2008 – APEX SOFTWARE LTD. ALL RIGHTS RESERVED Integrator The second Screen Format is the Detail Screen - this takes the User to the Details associated with the Record. In this example, the Detail Screen will relate to the Employee, and is launched by double clicking the Employee’s Row, or selecting the Row and clicking the Details icon… Keyboard ‘Down Arrow’ = Go forward Keyboard ‘Up Arrow’ = Go back Keyboard ‘ESC’ = Exit this Demo. An Overview of How Integrator Operates

COPYRIGHT © 2008 – APEX SOFTWARE LTD. ALL RIGHTS RESERVED Human Resources COPYRIGHT © 2008 – APEX SOFTWARE LTD. ALL RIGHTS RESERVED Integrator Each Detail Screen has a number of Tabs, each relating to a particular aspect of the Record (in this example, the Record is an Employee, Andy Kenny)… Keyboard ‘Down Arrow’ = Go forward Keyboard ‘Up Arrow’ = Go back Keyboard ‘ESC’ = Exit this Demo …other Tabs are Generic (such as Addresses, Documents and Photo’s), and are made available whenever they are deemed to be appropriate… The first of these will be Bespoke and relate specifically to the Module (or Browser), in this case Employees… An Overview of How Integrator Operates

COPYRIGHT © 2008 – APEX SOFTWARE LTD. ALL RIGHTS RESERVED Human Resources COPYRIGHT © 2008 – APEX SOFTWARE LTD. ALL RIGHTS RESERVED Integrator When an additional Record is to be added, a blank Detail Screen may be launched from the Add New Record icon… Keyboard ‘Down Arrow’ = Go forward Keyboard ‘Up Arrow’ = Go back Keyboard ‘ESC’ = Exit this Demo In the case of New Records, each of the Data Fields are blank, other than positions where Default Data has been pre-formatted. An Overview of How Integrator Operates

COPYRIGHT © 2008 – APEX SOFTWARE LTD. ALL RIGHTS RESERVED Human Resources COPYRIGHT © 2008 – APEX SOFTWARE LTD. ALL RIGHTS RESERVED Integrator In each instance, the Input Fields are designed to accommodate Data that the User may wish to associate to the Record. Keyboard ‘Down Arrow’ = Go forward Keyboard ‘Up Arrow’ = Go back Keyboard ‘ESC’ = Exit this Demo As with many powerful systems (Excel, Word…) once a User is familiar with the system, they will develop their level of Input and benefit from the corresponding increase in Output. In the early stages of developing Integrator, the User may choose not to use many of the Fields and to keep the system simple and thereby quick to set up. Integrator is developed with this in mind, although it may appear demanding on first sight, it need not be. The main point is that Users will not find it to be limited later on, which is all too often the case with simple systems. An Overview of How Integrator Operates

COPYRIGHT © 2008 – APEX SOFTWARE LTD. ALL RIGHTS RESERVED Human Resources COPYRIGHT © 2008 – APEX SOFTWARE LTD. ALL RIGHTS RESERVED Integrator The Record’s details may be printed from the Details Screen, starting by selecting the Print icon… Keyboard ‘Down Arrow’ = Go forward Keyboard ‘Up Arrow’ = Go back Keyboard ‘ESC’ = Exit this Demo From the Print Options form, the User may select which of the Details they require to be printed and then proceed to generate the Printed Document… An Overview of How Integrator Operates

COPYRIGHT © 2008 – APEX SOFTWARE LTD. ALL RIGHTS RESERVED Human Resources COPYRIGHT © 2008 – APEX SOFTWARE LTD. ALL RIGHTS RESERVED Integrator Back to the Browser Screen – one of its key features is the ability to allow Users to format ‘What is Displayed’ and ‘How it is Configured’. Each of Integrator’s Modules are supplied carefully pre-configured in anticipation of what Users will require on a day to day basis. Keyboard ‘Down Arrow’ = Go forward Keyboard ‘Up Arrow’ = Go back Keyboard ‘ESC’ = Exit this Demo. However, in the event that Users require alternative views, or as their expertise with Integrator builds up, they have full access to modify the Display and its Configuration to suit their individual requirements. COPYRIGHT © 2008 – APEX SOFTWARE LTD. ALL RIGHTS RESERVED Human Resources COPYRIGHT © 2008 – APEX SOFTWARE LTD. ALL RIGHTS RESERVED Integrator Right Mouse clicking any Column Header gives the User access to determine which Data Fields are Displayed, and in what Sequence. Keyboard ‘Down Arrow’ = Go forward Keyboard ‘Up Arrow’ = Go back Keyboard ‘ESC’ = Exit this Demo. This feature, just one of the many Configuration options, allows the User to set up the Browser display to suit their particular requirements… An Overview of How Integrator Operates

COPYRIGHT © 2008 – APEX SOFTWARE LTD. ALL RIGHTS RESERVED Human Resources COPYRIGHT © 2008 – APEX SOFTWARE LTD. ALL RIGHTS RESERVED Integrator Another example is to Conditionally Format the Display, through Column Properties… Keyboard ‘Down Arrow’ = Go forward Keyboard ‘Up Arrow’ = Go back Keyboard ‘ESC’ = Exit this Demo. This feature gives the User access to further customise the Browser display and to create Filters and Analysis Functions… Under the second Tab, ‘Parameters 2’, there is the ability to Conditionally Format the selected Column’s Display… An Overview of How Integrator Operates

COPYRIGHT © 2008 – APEX SOFTWARE LTD. ALL RIGHTS RESERVED Human Resources COPYRIGHT © 2008 – APEX SOFTWARE LTD. ALL RIGHTS RESERVED Integrator Keyboard ‘Down Arrow’ = Go forward Keyboard ‘Up Arrow’ = Go back Keyboard ‘ESC’ = Exit this Demo These 4 Conditional Formatting features enable the Browser’s Data to be Visually Informative. An example of this could be Pre-formatting the ‘Date Started’ column with a ‘Traffic Light’ principle to indicate the state of an Employee’s Probation Period. In this example, the Dynamic Back Colour and Dynamic Text Colour are set to make the Data: Turn Green for the first part of an Employee’s Probation Period Turn Yellow for the last 5 Days of the Period Turn Red with White Text if they have gone beyond the Period and not had the Probation Tick-Box cleared. Used correctly, Users will frequently have conditions brought to their attention without even considering them. An Overview of How Integrator Operates

ALL RIGHTS RESERVED Integrator Keyboard ‘Down Arrow’ = Go forward Keyboard ‘Up Arrow’ = Go back Keyboard ‘ESC’ = Exit this Demo Without having to Read and Interpret the Data, Users can easily see… …who the Directors are… …if any Leavers are in the display… …who is working through their Probation Period… …who is nearing the end of their Probation Period… …and if any Employees have finished their Probation Period and not had a Review? ALL RIGHTS RESERVED Integrator Another key feature of the Browser is the ability to Filter the Records to focus on points of interest or concern. Integrator’s Modules are supplied carefully pre- configured in anticipation of what Users will require on a day to day basis – this includes 7 different mechanism’s for Filtering. Keyboard ‘Down Arrow’ = Go forward Keyboard ‘Up Arrow’ = Go back Keyboard ‘ESC’ = Exit this Demo. The following illustration demonstrates one of those mechanisms – Column Filters… An Overview of How Integrator Operates

ALL RIGHTS RESERVED Integrator Left Mouse clicking the Display or Hide Filter Panel icon will open the Filter Panel on the right hand side of the Browser. Keyboard ‘Down Arrow’ = Go forward Keyboard ‘Up Arrow’ = Go back Keyboard ‘ESC’ = Exit this Demo The other location that existing Column Filters may be accessed is through the Filter Panel… Either method allows the User to select the Filter as required… An Overview of How Integrator Operates

COPYRIGHT © 2008 – APEX SOFTWARE LTD. ALL RIGHTS RESERVED Human Resources COPYRIGHT © 2008 – APEX SOFTWARE LTD. ALL RIGHTS RESERVED Integrator This wide range of Filtering enables the User to quickly and easily select Records of interest or concern by various means - according to requirements. Keyboard ‘Down Arrow’ = Go forward Keyboard ‘Up Arrow’ = Go back Keyboard ‘ESC’ = Exit this Demo These Column Filters are just one of seven different mechanisms for filtering data… Due to time constraints, the other Filters will not be demonstrated here. An Overview of How Integrator Operates However, when the User is ready to explore their benefits, the comprehensive Help system provided with Integrator will provide a full explanation.

ALL RIGHTS RESERVED Integrator Integrator has been designed to allow flexibility when handling data, irrespective of the nature of your Business. The Categories feature allows Users to define their own bespoke datasets and input data against Records… Keyboard ‘Down Arrow’ = Go forward Keyboard ‘Up Arrow’ = Go back Keyboard ‘ESC’ = Exit this Demo. In this example, a User has created a Category set called Employee Roles and is thereby able to hold data that suits their Business against individual Employees. An Overview of How Integrator Operates As with Filters, comprehensive Help is available when the User is ready to start to use this feature…

ALL RIGHTS RESERVED Integrator A further key feature of the Browser is the ability to automatically Analyse the Records according to Specified Criteria … The following example demonstrates the use of this Analysis Function, illustrating Salary Costs per Organisation Position… Keyboard ‘Down Arrow’ = Go forward Keyboard ‘Up Arrow’ = Go back Keyboard ‘ESC’ = Exit this Demo. The Analysis shows Count, Sum, Average etc for Salaries against the Organisation Positions. Another good example of the use of this function is the Analysis of the Costs of Accidents, according to Type, Classification, Category, Person etc. An Overview of How Integrator Operates

ALL RIGHTS RESERVED Integrator A further key feature of the Browser is the Saved Screens facility… This feature enables the User to Pre-configure particular Browser Views according to their Individual Requirements and then to Save them for later Recall. Keyboard ‘Down Arrow’ = Go forward Keyboard ‘Up Arrow’ = Go back Keyboard ‘ESC’ = Exit this Demo. These Browser Views may incorporate the Functions of Pick Columns, Sort Order, Filters etc. Any number of Saved Screens may be created, furthermore, they may also be Saved in a Tree Format for clarity of use, as illustrated. COPYRIGHT © 2008 – APEX SOFTWARE LTD. ALL RIGHTS RESERVED Human Resources COPYRIGHT © 2008 – APEX SOFTWARE LTD. ALL RIGHTS RESERVED Integrator Other key features of the Browser are the ability to Mail Merge data to Documents for Selected Records… The Selection Process for those Documents could be by Filtering Records as shown earlier, or it could be by simply Tagging the required Records and using the Tag facility Keyboard ‘Down Arrow’ = Go forward Keyboard ‘Up Arrow’ = Go back Keyboard ‘ESC’ = Exit this Demo. …and the ability to send s to Selected Records. An Overview of How Integrator Operates Integrator also has a comprehensive facility for exporting the data - this may range from: - simple Copy & Paste - to exporting to structured documents such as Pivot Tables.

ALL RIGHTS RESERVED Integrator This concludes the demonstration of How Integrator Operates. Due to the time limit, it has only been possible to show Integrator’s main features, and even that has been done without showing the true benefits that can be achieved. Nevertheless, it should be evident that Integrator offers significant opportunities to your business for improving:  Data Storage and Retrieval.  Overview of Information.  Sharing and co-ordination of data between Departments.  Reporting facilities for both Internal and External requirements.
