Extension Activities Take a number line and put some marks on it. Challenge your partner to come up with a decimal number for the point while you come up with a fraction. Take turns trading off who does the decimal and who does the fraction.

Make at least 20 cards with signed fractions or decimals. Divide the cards between you and your partner. Each of you turn over a card at the same time. Whoever has has the higher card takes both cards. Play continues until one person has all the cards. Hint: You can use rational numbers from this slideshow.
