Word order in questions (Question word)+ auxiliary + subject+ verb/infinitive + (rest)? When does Paula come home? What do you drink for breakfast? Where does Paul live? Who does Paul live with? Do you take the bus to school? Do you know Steve? Do you have a tissue? Can/Could you help me, please? BUT: In some cases, you do NOT need an auxiliary!

Negation Generally: Not either following the auxiliary (don’t/doesn’t, can’t/couldn’t, aren’t/isn’t etc.) or between the subject and the infinitive: Where don’t you go? or Where do you not go? Why aren’t you happy? or Why are you not happy? Doesn’t Paula come home? or Does Paula not come home? Don’t you take the bus to school? or Do you not take the bus to school? Don’t you know Steve? or Do you not know Steve? Aren‘t you in grade 2? or Are you not in grade 2? Note: Who goes to John’s birthday party?  Who doesn’t/can’t go to the party?
