With the establishment of the Punjab Agricultural University in 1962, it became imperative to introduce the University students to the fundamentals of basic sciences and the humanities, thus advancing the frontiers of knowledge. Keeping this in view a school of Basic Sciences & Humanities was conceived which subsequently was established as College of Basic Sciences and Humanities in Oct. 1975, Dr. A.S.
