Short biography!!! She was born in Illinois. Daughter by an pioneer New England family. It don’t say about any siblings. She was like any normal kid and went to school but she had a talent in mathematics!!!!

Her interest!! Her family knew people would remember her name especially in mathematics!!! She was always good in math!! She loved it! She became a school teacher to help kids with math and would not give up on them no matter what!!!

Accomplishments!! Clara became the first woman to receive her Ph.D in mathematics from John Hopkins University. Her dissertation would later be published in the American Journal of Mathematics!!

What she supported/Death! Clara Bacon was involved with the Foreign Policy Association and she supported the League of Women Voters. Clara Latimer Bacon died in 1948 leaving behind her profound positive influence on the world of mathematics.
