Presentation transcript:

 reading comprehension: - multiple choice AND open questions!!! - make sure you have answered ALL - in open questions, do not exceed the two lines - write with full sentences - GOOD English or Finnish - two things (either …JA…, or ”mention two things”) - answer TO WHAT HAS BEEN ASKED; you won´t get points for other facts no matter how true they were

Grammar & vocabulary: - Take a look what´s around, hints for the correct choice - Not only the previous word - Pay particular attention if there is a proverb - Prepositions (e.g. consider vr regard AS)

 Productive close - the same rules - what´s around - where does it refer to - passive or active - singular or plural - correct tense - even the tiniest mistake (e.g. in spelling) takes the point off

 Reacting/translation: - Usually three points / answer → three grammatical aspects/expressions included (e.g. a passive form, a superlative & correct word/expession) - Fluent English - Do not make up words - Pay particular attention to prepositions, correct tenses etc. - One or two MINOR mistakes are allowed (e.g. missing/wrong article)

 Composition - choose the topic of which you seem to have the most to say - discuss ALL the questions and follow ALL the quidelines - for AND against - NEVER less than 150 words - don´t exceed 280 words - don´t change the title UNLESS INSTRUCTED to create your own one

- if a speech/letter to the editor/letter of complaint, follow the ”musts” (addressing, ending, starting…) - remember the number of the title & the word count at the end - write clearly - read through after a moment

General: Use a pencil Blacken the circles precisely If you change an answer, erase the first choice CAREFULLY Open questions to the A-side Productive close to the other side of A: - number from 1 to 10/15, one at a line - check spelling; must be perfect - remember to ad prepositions, articles etc - in case there is a summary, write it here * Write your name and numbers on every paper
