What is BUSA……………. A British Association of its members, represented at its sovereign body by the student officers of the member institutions. Student led. The British Universities Sports Association (BUSA) is the recognised governing body of university sport. Responsible for organising the domestic inter-university sports programme (the largest fixture programme in Europe!) and co- ordinating the UK representative student teams at home and abroad.

How can it be student led? All strategic decisions for BUSA are taken through a committee structure, designed and defined by students, and with devolved structures to ensure wide representation. Sovereign body, similar to UGM or SRC is the General Council, at which each of you has a vote representing your students Students hold the majority on other decision making committees. Additional members of the committees are people elected by students to represent them. Committees managed by Officers, elected by you as student representatives at the AGM.
