Idaho Maternal, Infant & Early Childhood Home Visiting Program

CHALLENGES AHEAD 22% of caregivers participating in home visits are men – Safety concerns: choosing an offsite location or asking “could you walk me to my car?” – Building on the strengths of both male and female caregivers, in addition to assessing risk. 70% of women who had a late completion of an RA are still enrolled – Rapport building: For some women, talking about IPV within 3 months can feel like too much too soon. 83% of the women who did not complete an RA are no longer enrolled – Retention: how can we better retain families with high needs?
