Welcome to the school year! We are excited to have each of you as Hurricanes. When the Weather Channel broadcasts that a hurricane is approaching, all those in its path know to expect strong winds and heavy rains. Here at Sam Houston, you also need to know what we expect from our Hurricanes. To help you know the expectations, we have the term Hurricane SPIN. SPIN stands for Success, Pride, Integrity and Nobility. These are at the center of all Sam Houston Hurricane behaviors. Get Your Spin On

SPIN stands for Success, Pride, Integrity and Nobility. These are at the center of all Sam Houston Hurricane behaviors. First of all, the most important locations at Sam Houston High School are the classrooms because that is where the most important learning occurs. In order to be successful, you should come to class prepared with all the materials you need such as your binder, paper, and something with which to write. It is important for you to be in class and seated before the tardy bell. At all times it is expected that you use appropriate language and keep your hands, feet, and other objects to yourself.
