And the testimony is this, that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has the life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have the life.

Application 1. We must believe that saving faith and obedience “go hand in hand.” 2. We must believe God’s testimony regarding His Son in order to be saved. 3. We must believe in the real Christ in order to be saved.
